When I Clean
Dear lover/rommie/partner,
When I spend hours trying to make our place livable, cleaning up after OUR children and YOU, please respect my work.
When I clean, order take out and use plasticware before you dirty a dish.
When I clean, take the kids out of the house for a walk or to play.
When I clean, tend to the baby when she starts to cry.
When I clean, don’t add more dirty clothes to the pile.
When I clean, put what you picked up back to exactly where it was.
When I clean, try to lend a hand or stay out of my way.
When I clean, simply say thank you and ask if I need some me time to now unwind.
Thanking you now and in advance.
Signed, A Black Mom.
