Ideas to Inspire
Want to contribute but not sure where to begin or what to write? Here are some ideas!
A letter to my unborn daughter/son | For moms to be, if you haven’t done so already, write a letter to your little one. Share how you are excited, yet scared to be a mother. How you can’t wait to see what he/she will grow to be, yet terrified of how the world will embrace them because of the color of their skin.
Dear Black Mom | Share your birth experience or how you felt the first time you saw your little one. Share the not so pleasant moments of motherhood like the sleepless nights, feelings of anxiety or frustrations from the pressure to be everything for everyone.
Dear Spouse | Feel free to vent about how sometimes you feel like a single mom and feel unappreciated. Or share how you do feel loved and appreciated but still need a little more.
